NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Meredith Skibitsky, daughter of Gene and Leslie Skibitsky of Dixfield, has received a master’s degree in deaf education from Smith College. The program is in partnership with Clarke School for Hearing and Speech which specializes in auditory oral education.

Meredith is a 2005 graduate of Dirigo High School. She graduated from the University of Maine, Orono, in 2010. She has been granted a scholarship to Fontbonne University in St. Louis for a program in speech pathology with an emphasis in deafness, which she will attend beginning in the fall.
