Coach:  Chris Cifelli  (sixth year)

Last year’s record: 12-3-1, lost in Western B semifinal

Returning players: Seniors —  Sarah Frost (FB), Tori Zupancic (MF), Taren McGray (MF); Juniors — Alex Hudner (FB), Sydney Nadeau (FB), Mariah Treadwell (F), Desiree Tweedie (MF); Sophomores — Tatianna Sierra (FB), Kelsea Marchall (F), Kelly Pomerleau (G).

Key losses: Bri Hammond (MF), Abbey Randall (MF), Shannon Clarke (FB), Therese Raymond (FB), Kayla Richardson (FB), Ashley Dionne (FB), Jenna Cote (F), Danielle Dubois (F).

Promising newcomers: Senior — Sarah Kyllonen (F); Sophomores — Taylor Benson (FB), Monica Beaule (MF), Melissa Richardson (F), Emily Perkins (F); Freshmen — Emily Miller (F), Cora Curtis (MF), Olivia Gilbert (FB).

Outlook: The Hornets reached the Western B semifinals for the first time last fall and hope to build upon that success. It won’t be easy for Leavitt. The Hornets graduated a wealth of talent and experience, including Hammond, an all-state player, and Randall and Richardson, both all-conference picks. Zupancic is a former all-state player and leads a young team hoping to continue last year’s momentum.

Coach’s comment: “There will be no soft dates on our schedule this year and adding Morse and Oceanside to the conference will only give our conference more depth.” Coach Chris Cifelli.
