Key losses: Jillian Perron, Elizabeth LeClair.
Promising newcomers: Sophomores — Courtney Austin (B), Rileigh Blanchet (G), Krista McLatchey (F), Shula Yeaton (B), Keri Harnden (B); Freshmen — Victoria Newbill (MF), Erynn Hiscock (MF).
Outlook: If ever there was a candidate for turn-around of the year, the Cougars are that candidate. Only two players are gone from a tough year, and there is a multitude of experience and talent this season on this squad. The base of the program has grown well, and there is a good chance .500 might be in sight as the Cougars have now dropped into Class B.
Coach’s comment: “Now we need to make sure we are united as a team and that we nurture the younger kids so we can continue to grow the program.”
