Promising newcomers: Juniors — Gabrielle Cavalier, Abby Abbott; Freshmen — River Roy, Elijah Hall, Mason Cavalier.
Outlook: This ‘coming in second’ stuff is getting old for the Lakers, and they are really hoping this might be the year to get past Greenville in the wide-spread conference. There is a good nucleus of returners, and a solid influx of newcomers to help this team achieve that goal. Daren Jannace, Sam Straub and White should be the leaders this season.
Coach’s comment: “The kids have been playing well this summer and the course we play at, Mingo Springs, has been great working with us. We need to put it all together and hopefully we can get past that nemesis this year.”
