AUBURN — TD Bank has named Greg A. Smith as vice president, portfolio loan officer in commercial lending in Auburn. He is responsible for maintaining, servicing and growing commercial business relationships with customers throughout Central Maine.

Smith has 24 years of experience in banking and lending. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served as both a commercial loan workout officer in Lewiston and a senior commercial loan officer in Portland while working at Northeast Bank. He also served as a commercial real estate relationship manager during a 14-year stint at Bank of America in Portland.

Smith is a resident of Westbrook, where he is a member of the Westbrook School Committee, chairs the educational programs subcommittee and is a member of the 21st Century Community Learning Center advisory board. He is a 1985 graduate of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
