BRUNSWICK — Musicians, craftspeople and artists will come together for a day of art for the whole family on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The 15th annual Family Art Festival, put on by Five Rivers Arts Alliance, offers hands-on art making for all ages, with opportunities to create a giant inflatable sculpture (between noon and 2 p.m.), a one-of-a-kind print, a collage, a celestial map, wearable art, paper airplanes, masks, a clay creation for a puppy parade, new art out of old recyclables and more.

The festival, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. under tents on the Brunswick Town Mall, also includes music all day, dance, karate demonstrations and a silent auction featuring items donated by local artists and businesses. All proceeds from the auction support the festival.

Among those providing music will be the Bath Municipal Band, big band sounds; and Kat Logan and Jim Loney, folk and blues.

The event is free, but a $5 donation per family is suggested.

If it rains, the festival will be held in the Brunswick Junior High School gym on Columbia Avenue. For more details, www.fiveriversartsalliance.org/events/familyarts.aspx.
