LEWISTON — Marcella T. Talarico, 87, of 243 Central Ave., died Sunday, Sept. 4, at Russell Park Manor where she resided for the past 5 months.
Born in Lewiston, a daughter of the late George and Ida Laliberte Labonte, she was educated in Lewiston schools.
Mrs. Talarico was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish and attended the former St. Joseph’s Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, long walks with her spouse, Frank, and, until her early 70s, loved to ice skate at Bates College pond.
Marcella will be remembered for the love she had for her family, laughter and always looking at the positives in life. Attending church often at St. Joseph’s always invoked wonderful memories for her of life’s special events.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Talarico Sr. of Lewiston, who she married on May 21, 1948; daughter, Donna Talarico and her husband, Klavs Kjaer of North Yarmouth; son, Frank Talarico Jr. of Carrabassett Valley; grandchildren, Nana Kjaer-Larsen and Jens Kjaer; and sisters, Yvonne Delamater of South Paris and Jeannine St. Hilaire of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Annette Marquis, Jeannette Dulac and Lucille Janelle; and her brothers, Robert and Dominic Labonte.
The family wishes to thank Russell Park Manor staff for their kindness and thoughtful care as well as Androscoggin Home Health Hospice.
