FARMINGTON — Police say a fight between a young woman and man escalated to mace spraying and robbery Tuesday at Anson and High streets.
A tenant in a nearby apartment building called police at about 2:30 p.m. to report the two were fistfighting on the street, Bonnie Pomeroy, Farmington Police Department secretary, said.
The fight was over money the woman thought was still owed for a car she sold him, according to the police report. During the scuffle, the woman sprayed the man in the face with Mace twice and took some money out of his wallet inside the car, the report said.
The woman had left the scene in a vehicle by the time police arrived. The male was not injured.
Neither their names, nor the amount of money taken were released.
