MEXICO — Tammy Martin Philbrick, age 45, of Chase Avenue in Mexico, died Tuesday Sept. 6, at the Androscoggin Hospice House after a courageous battle with liver disease.

She was born in Rumford, a daughter of Basil and Beverly (Farnham) Martin, and graduated from Mexico High School.

Tammy married Richie Philbrick on August 31, 1996.

She was employed at Freddie’s Restaurant for many years and worked the last seven years at the Deluxe Diner in Rumford.

Tammy enjoyed cooking, reading, flowers, gardening and birds.

She will be greatly missed for her spunky attitude and joking personality.

She is survived by her husband, Richie, of Mexico; her two daughters, Kayla Hyde and her husband, Luke, and Megan, all of Mexico; her beloved pets, Sassy and Midnight; mother-in-law Jane Philbrick McDonald and husband, Steve; sisters, Sandra Blodgett, Peggy Martin, Terri Yates, Penny Martin and husband, Pete, and Tina Laprell and husband, Gary; a brother, Barry Martin; fourteen nieces and nephews; five great-nieces; and seven great-nephews; and sisters-in-law, Cherie Philbrick, and Tina Richard and husband, Jerome.

She was predeceased by her parents.

The family would like to thank Central Maine Medical Center intensive care unit, and the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice House staff for their thoughtful care and kindness.
