MEXICO — Police responded to 127 incidents from Aug. 18 to Sept. 8.

Among the incidents since Aug. 18 were:

Criminal mischief

* On Aug. 25 at 7:41 a.m. a Howard Street resident reported their house had been hit with paint balls sometime during the night. Estimated amount of damage was $100.

* On Sept. 5 at 12:40 p.m. a Main Street resident reported windows to their property had been broken. Estimated damage was $50.

Theft

* On Aug. 25 at 4:26 p.m. a Roxbury Road resident reported his Mac Pro laptop, valued at $1,500, was taken from his vehicle that was parked at a Highland Terrace residence. The vehicle was unlocked.

* On Sept. 4 at 11:02 a.m. Big Apple in Mexico reported a $90 gas drive-off.

Arrest

* Christopher Baxter, 32, of Rumford, was charged on two outstanding warrants, at 1:40 a.m. Sept. 3 on Main Street by Lt. Roy Hodsdon. One warrant was out of Rumford the other was from Mexico. Both were failure to appear on an original charge of operating after suspension.  Baxter was transported to Oxford County Jail without incident.

* Lauretta Taylor, 52, of Peru, was charged with operating under the influence and possession of a schedule W drug, at 12:52 a.m. Sept. 4 at a field sobriety check point on River Road by officer Dan Carrier. Taylor was transported to Oxford County Jail without incident.

* James Eaton, 60, of Mexico, was charged with domestic violence assault, at 9:23 p.m. Sept 4 on Harlow Hill by officer Dan Carrier. Eaton was transported to Oxford County Jail without incident.
