OXFORD — A ceremony to remember those who died in the terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hannaford supermarket on Route 26.

U.S. Rep. Michael Michaud, D-Maine, is scheduled to speak, and state Rep. Jim Hamper, R-Oxford, will be the main speaker. State Reps. Tom Winsor, D-Norway, and Terry Hayes, D-Buckfield, are also scheduled to attend.

Ladder trucks from the Oxford and Paris fire departments will hold the American flag high and the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School band will perform patriotic music. The event is sponsored by Hannaford, and Linda Jack and Doreen Tibbetts are the event’s co-chairwomen.

A firing squad from the 251st Engineering Company of Norway will be there, and the fire and police departments from Norway, Oxford and Paris will be represented.

The Oxford Hills Area Clergy Association will offer a prayer, the benediction and invocation.
