LEWISTON — Jeffrey M. Libby Sr., 60, of North Turner, died early Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was born in Farmington on June 29, 1951, a son of Merle V. and Betty Jane (Hannon) Libby Jr. He was a 1969 graduate of Leavitt Institute and on Aug. 5, 1972, married Vickie Collins at the Universalist Church in Livermore.
Mr. Libby worked at International Paper Co. in Jay for 12 years and later was self-employed as a contractor. He also was a member of the North Turner Volunteer Fire Department. He loved hunting, fishing and cooking. He especially loved going to camp with his family at Lower Wilson Pond in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Vickie, of North Turner; daughter Trena and her fiance, SGM John Martin, and his children, Kasi and Gavin, of Augusta; sons, Jeffrey Libby Jr. and his wife, Angie, and their children, Kyle and Cody, of North Turner, and Ryan Libby and his wife, Sarah, of Auburn; and a daughter, Erin Smith and her husband, Mike, and their children, Eli, Lizzie, Nikolas and Koral, of South Woodstock; his father, Merle, of North Turner; a brother, David and his wife, Tina Marie, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Jane Motley and her husband, Mike, of Chesapeake, Va., and Wendy White of North Turner.
