The August meeting for the Minot Historical Society had Madelyn Given as the speaker. She had a PowerPoint presentation of the views and people she met while hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine alone. The next meeting will be a pot luck supper at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the West Minot Grange Hall on 171 Paris Road. The speaker will be Scott Andrews about “Made in Maine: 100 plus years of craftsmanship in skiing.”
