LEWISTON —Women, Work and Community is offering a free, three-hour workshop Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at USM LAC, LearningWorks in Lewiston.

This workshop, titled Introduction to Self-Employment, on is for those people interested in starting a business. It will address the pros and cons of owning a business, how to get started, point out the major elements of a business plan, introduce the many resources available in the Androscoggin County area and help a person decide whether self employment is the right choice.
