LEWISTON — Donald W. Damon Sr., passed peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 10, surrounded by his children and family, at the age of 73.
Don was the son of Fabiola and Carl Damon Sr. Don will be proudly remembered for his contribution to his community of Auburn through his service of 27 years in the fire department, retiring as a lieutenant. Don was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan throughout his life as well as a car enthusiast and proud patriot and veteran, and above all, loved his family and friends. He will be carried in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his three children, Donald Damon Jr., Shawn Coleen Damon and Wendy Damon Piumelli; and his cherished and beloved companion, Shirley Messier; he was a loving brother to Carl Damon Jr. of Poland, Kenneth Damon of Poland , Judith Damon Lawlor of Auburn, Dorothy Damon Andrews of Hebron, Patricia Damon Stone of Liverpool, N.Y., and Linda Damon Moore of Poland. Don was the proud grandfather of Candace, Cassie, Kerri, Shawna, Dylan, Ian, Chelsea, Lennie, Alexandria, Freddy, and Sabrina, as well as a great-grandfather to Aidan and Jacob.
