LEWISTON — Reginald R. Parent, 83, of Lewiston, died Monday, Sept.12, at Central Maine Medical Center with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 14, 1927, the son of the late Gerard and Alice Lavoie Parent. He was educated in Lewiston schools and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a tool maker and was an instructor at Central Maine Community College in Auburn. He was married to Yvette F. Laplante at Holy Cross Church on Sept. 6, 1954.

Reggie was a member of Holy Cross Church and enjoyed camping with his family and the 11 years he and his wife wintered in Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Yvette, of Lewiston; two sons, Donald Parent and wife, Doris, of Windham, and Larry Parent and wife, Jenifer, of Veazie; four grandchildren, Emily, Mary Beth, Joel and Gerard.
