POLAND — Fredrick James Schneider, 66, of Poland passed away on Saturday, Sept. 10, at his home.

He was born in St. Louis, Mo., Aug. 25, 1945, the son of Fredrick Joseph and Isabelle Grondin Schneider. He served in the U.S. Army and had been employed at Eastland Shoe for more than 30 years.

He married Harriet Madore. He was a member of the Slovak Catholic Association, American Legion Post No. 66 and the Durham Amvets. He enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing, bowling, playing bingo and flea marketing.

He is survived by his wife of Poland; his sons, Mark Schneider and his wife, Jeune and Matthew Schneider; his daughter, Samantha Ouellette and her husband, Richard; grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Jennifer, Luke, Alicia, Jacob, Justin, Casey James; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis.
