BETHEL — Cody St. Germain scored twice and had an assist to lead Dirigo to a 7-0 victory over Telstar in MVC soccer action Tuesday.
Chad Snowman, Hunter Ross, Aighdan Weishar, Travis Frost and Loren Keim scored the rest of the Dirigo goals. Caleb Turner made two shots in net for the shutout as Dirigo (2-1) outshot Telstar, 14-2. Rick James made seven saves for the Rebels (0-3).
St. Dom’s 5, Lisbon 1
AUBURN — Junior midfielder Will Desmarais scored the eventual game-winning goal as St. Dom’s floated to a 5-1 victory over Lisbon in MVC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.
The Saints (3-0) scored three goals in the first half. Desmarais’ goal was from outside the 18-yard line and sailed over the head of the goalie to give the Saints a 2-1 lead.
Goalie Shane Tanguay made seven saves for Lisbon, while goalie Cam Hainey prevented seven to earn the win in net for St. Dom’s.
Monmouth 3, Winthrop 1
WINTHROP — Sophomore striker Kyle Fletcher notched the eventual game-winning goal as Monmouth galloped to a 3-1 victory over Winthrop in MVC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.
Senior forward Connor Doyle tied the game at 1-1 midway through the first half for Winthrop. But, Fletcher responded by collecting a relay from Nick Trenholm on the left side, beating two defenders and placing the ball into the far corner of the net for the Mustangs (3-1) to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Goalie Cameron MacMillian made 18 saves for the Ramblers (0-3), while Kasey Smith turned back four shots to earn the win in net for Monmouth.
Buckfield 11, Rangeley 0
BUCKFIELD — Junior forward Dustin Damon scored four goals as Buckfield sank Rangeley 11-0 in EWC boys’ scocer action Tuesday.
The Bucks (1-2) scored five goal in the first half. Trevor Averill contributed two goals and two assists for Buckfield.
Goalie Carl Searles made 22 saves for the Lakers (0-5), while Calvin Downey and Garrett Hamann combined in net for Buckfield with 11 saves.
Winslow 5, Leavitt 1
TURNER — Junior forward Gabe Smith recorded a hat trick as Winslow stung Leavitt for a 5-1 victory in KVAC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.
Korey Mulherin tied the contest at 1-1 early in the second half for the Hornets (0-3-1). But Smith responded with two goals. And, MacKenzie Michaud, the goalie, even got into the scoring action with a goal.
Goalie Ben Fullerton had seven saves for Leavitt, while Michaud prevented four for the Black Raiders (3-1) in the winning effort.
Maranacook 1, Oak Hill 0
WALES — Nick Lacasse was in the right spot Tuesday, grabbing the perfect corner kick and firing it into the net with 13 minutes left to play as Maranacook snuck past Oak Hill 1-0 in KVAC boy’s soccer action.
The Raiders (1-3) had come close to scoring just one minute earlier, but the shot bounced off the post. Sam Nielson made three saves to preserve the shutout.
Sam Warren turned aside seven shots between the posts for Oak Hill.
Mt. Abram 2, Mountain Valley 2
RUMFORD — After two active halves and a pair of scoreless overtimes, the Mt. Abram and Mountain Valley squads had to settle for a 2-2 draw in MVC action Tuesday.
Parker Kennedy socred early for the Roadrunners (0-2-2) on a penalty kick, while Chris Murphy tallied the tying goal with 11:55 left in regulation.
Simon Jensen and Andrew Phelps each scored for the Falcons (1-1-1), while veteran keeper Kyle Gauvin made eight saves.
Brunswick 5, Edward Little 0
BRUNSWICK — Connor Scarponi and Mitch Black netted two goals apiece Tuesday to propel Brunswick to a 5-0 romp over Edward Little in more KVAC boy’s soccer action.
Wilder Nicholson also tallied for the Dragons (2-0-2) to complete the scoring. Greg Walton made four saves to notch the shutout.
Jeremy Houle and Llewellyn Jensen split time between the posts for the Eddies (1-1-1), combining for 11 saves in the contest.
