WILTON — The Planning Board will review requests from an automotive towing service and one to add fill to a Munson Road property when they meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at the town office.
Daniel Maillet is seeking an expansion on the use permit for his property at 375 US Route 2 East to add an automotive towing service, Code Enforcement Officer Paul Montague said.
The corner lot on Munson Road and US Route 2 has housed a number of large storage boxes for several years. A truck used to deliver the storage boxes is up for use as a towing vehicle. Maillet is working with someone who will provide the actual towing service, Montague said.
An attempt to reach Maillet on Tuesday was unsuccessful.
Munson Road property owners Frederick and Thelma Jewell are seeking a permit to allow them to fill in and grade the adjacent property recently purchased from the town. Located in a resource protection zone, the landowners need a permit for the more than 12 cubic feet of fill required. Although there was a house on the property at one time, they can no longer build on the site and want to fill the space in, he said.
In other business, the board will review the town’s subdivision ordinance in an attempt to streamline the process, he said.
The board has not received information from Central Maine Power on Smart Meter antenna transmissions, as requested after their Sept. 1 meeting. Review of placement of an antenna on Walker Hill Road will continue during an October meeting or when the information is received, he said.
