LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center is offering a free nutrition workshop to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. “Eat Well to Prevent and Treat Cancer” will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at CMMC, 12 High St., Conference Room A.
Eating well can both decrease the risk of cancer and help with cancer treatment efforts. Presenter Judy Donnelly from Nutrition Works LLC will share practical tips and recipes that will help participants incorporate an arsenal of cancer-fighting foods into their everyday diet.
Donnelly, a registered and licensed dietitian, has been in practice for 25 years.
