RUMFORD — Selectmen will discuss hiring an economic developer on a stipend basis when they meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15.

The boad will also consider approving a town wood harvesting plan, a half-ton pickup for code enforcement, a time change for restricting parking on Lincoln Avenue and preparation of a bid for the tax anticipation note. A  homecoming parade for Mountain Valley High School, and a snowmobile grant for the Polar Bears Snowmobile Club are also on the agenda.

Additional approvals are sought for a special town meeting for the fiscal year 2010-11 audit and the town’s pursuit of a Community Development Block Grant program housing grant, and a wind power question and charter amendment for the November ballot.

There will also be an executive session to discuss an economic development matter.

The meeting will be held in Rumford Falls Auditorium.
