DIXFIELD — Log grading will be the topic of a joint meeting of the Western Maine and Upper Kennebec Valley chapters of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Premium Log Yard on Route 2.
Clinton Bradbury will explain what to look for when cutting and sending logs to market during the first half of the meeting. The second part will take place at Maine Made Products, a finished wood products plant, in Rumford.
The Premium Log Yard in Dixfield is on the sharp corner on Route 2 two miles east of Dixfield village. Maine Made Products is five miles west of Rumford. Light refreshments will be served beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Dixfield. The meeting is free and open to all.
