WILTON — Selectmen will host a presentation on smart meters and required antennas at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Town Office. The public is invited to attend.
John Carroll, Central Maine Power’s director of communications will provide a briefing about the meters. Another CMP spokesperson will discuss additional information about the network and antenna equipment.
Elisa Boxer Cook from the Smart Meter Safety Coalition will provide the coalition’s views on the program.
The board agreed to request the presentation after a CMP application to put an antenna on a Walker Hill Road wind tower came before the Planning Board. That board tabled the application while waiting for more information about the antennas from CMP.
For more information, residents may call the town office at 645-4961.
