SOUTH PARIS — Cora Dargis (nee Lawrence), formerly of Stoughton, Wis., passed away in South Paris on Sept. 12.

She was born in Madison, Wis., Sept. 26, 1912. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and English. She spent her next 20 years at home raising her four children, Becky Armstrong of South Paris, Letty Last of Winnipeg, Canada, Vicky Dargis of Milwaukee, Wis., and Jeff Dargis of Stoughton, Wis.

She re-entered the workforce as her children left home and became the chief nosologist for the state of Wisconsin. Upon retiring, she traveled extensively with her family throughout the world, and her last years were spent with her daughter in South Paris.
