LEWISTON — Bernice R. Brousseau “Bunny,” 80, of 150 Rideout Ave. died Friday, Sept. 16, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born in Frenchville, Dec. 13, 1930, a daughter of the late Joseph and Edith Desrosier Rossignol. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Richard R. Brousseau June 2, 1962. He died Feb. 23, 2006.
Mrs. Brousseau was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family Church and she owned and operated Vina’s Beauty Salon for many years. She was an avid bowler for many years and enjoyed traveling with her husband.
She is survived by her son, Gary Long and wife, Deborah, of Forth Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor, Cherie Long and Tina Clukey; two great-grandsons, Jordan Long and Joshua Clukey; two sisters, Elsie Anctil of Southington, Conn., and Simone Cote of Satsuma, Fla.; three brothers, Claude Rossignol of Auburn, Gerard “Emile” and his wife, Marie Rossignol, of Lewiston and Patrick and his wife, Evelyn Rossignol, of Goldsboro, N.C.
