HEBRON — The 26th annual reunion of the Warren family, descendants of the late F. Milton and Verlie Warren, was held at Hebron Pines RV and Golf Course on July 17.

There were 185 people in attendance from Buckfield, Hebron, Gorham, Hiram, Sanford, Leeds, Auburn, South Portland, Turner, Greene, Hollis, Hollis Center, Lisbon Falls, Jay, Sumner, Lubec, Augusta, Winthrop, Monmouth and Waterboro; West Bridgewater, Mass.; Derry, N.H.; and Woodstock, Conn.

Traveling the farthest was Adam and Cheryl LaBelle of Woodstock, Conn. Walter Warren was the oldest family member in attendance. He brought a guest from the Philippines. The youngest family member was Preston Robbins, born April 2, 2011, son of Amy and Peter Robbins of Buckfield.

During the past year, there were three weddings, four births, four high school graduations and five college graduations. Two high school graduates were awarded $100 scholarships for college.

After a meeting, a program was led by Marie Allen, who recognized Luke Robinson for his performance in wrestling this year. She also recognized Marcus Reny for his service as a Marine in Afghanistan. She and Helen Hadley read poems.

Shirley Smith announced that Levi Hooper had become an Eagle Scout. It was also reported that Chris and Joni Leavitt were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary that day. The program concluded with songs by Joel Warren.

The annual fundraising auction was conducted by Errol Addition. In addition to  homemade baked goods, there were handmade items: an Adirondack deck chair by Jarrod Hood, which sold for $65; a braided rug by Esther Robinson sold for $140; and a queen-sized quilt by Dean Jewell sold for $290.

The total family count to date is 393. Next year’s reunion will be held at Hebron Pines on July 15.
