Seniors meet

MEXICO — Neighborly Senior Citizens will meet at a different location on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Calvin P. Lyons meeting room at the Mexico Town Hall. Meeting will start at 11 a.m. followed by a pot luck dinner and a Chinese auction.

There is still room on the bus for the Fryeburg Fair. Anyone wishing to go should call Connie at 364-4189, Marge at 364-3316 or Carol at 364-4798. Pick ups will be in Dixfield, Mexico and Bethel.

MEXICO — Stephens High School Class of 1946 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at The Far East.

Weight control

RUMFORD — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing and Rumford Hospital are offering a free weight management workshop to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. “Weight Management During & After Cancer Treatment” will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Rumford Hospital, Conference Room C.

Presenter Jane Wardell, registered dietitian at Rumford Hospital, will discuss the principles and physiology of weight management, healthy ways to adjust energy intake to energy expenditure and some behavioral strategies and healthy eating patterns.
