NEW GLOUCESTER — The New Gloucester Cable TV Committee has announced that live streaming of town committee meetings, plus video on demand of meetings and other shows, are now available online in real time.
The online service, provided by the York-based company Town Hall Streams, will make information more readily available to people who do not have local cable services.
Previously, municipal meetings were shown on Channel 3, a cable access channel only available to local Time Warner Cable subscribers. The new video-streaming system will make meetings available to anyone who has an Internet connection any faster than dial-up, while still remaining accessible to cable customers.
The online video streams can be viewed in real-time as the meetings are taking place, and online videos that have been archived can be viewed by any web user. Go to www.newgloucester.com and click on the “new” watch meetings button.
