This is in response to George Jones’ letter, “A better jobs plan,” printed Sept. 14.
I applaud his 9-year-old twin granddaughters for their insight to the nation’s current economic crisis.
I thank them for sharing that insight, as there are currently many on the political landscape who have the “answers” to resolve the current economic crisis but won’t share them until they have achieved a position of power.
It is my hope that one of the current national candidates will implement the plan proposed by the twins.
I know that I, and many others, would vote for the candidate who brings the price of gas down to $1.80 per gallon.
As a nation, it is unfortunate that when the president proposes a plan that the first thrust is criticism.
Members of the U.S. Congress are being paid to resolve those issues of crisis. They choose to make it an issue of politics.
I hope that when the time comes, those twins will run for office with the same level-headed, unbiased thinking.
