BRUNSWICK — The Theater Project will open its 40th season on Friday, Sept. 23, with a performance by Birdie Googins, aka The Marden’s Lady. She will present her one-woman show “Accidentally Maine’s Only Supermodel … And Possible Future Queen.”

The quirky actress who brought Birdie to life is Karmo Sanders, who has a history at The Theater Project. In the late 1980s, she performed in several plays, including “What The Butler Saw” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” on that stage.

Sanders will share her humorous look at the everyday lives of Mainers at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets, $10 for general seating, are available by calling 729-8584 or visiting www.theaterproject.com. The Theater Project is at 14 School St.
