FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Edward A. LeBlanc, 88, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, at Lutheran Hospital.

He was born in Lewiston. He was a World War II Air Force veteran, a Purple Heart recipient and a POW of Germany for two years. He worked as a materials manager with AMF, retiring in 1984.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, American Legion Post 82 and VFW Post 857. He loved to travel, read, study history and was an avid hockey fan. Edward always enjoyed a good party with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Anne LeBlanc of Fort Wayne; daughters, Mary A. (Richard) Arola of Winfield, Ill., and Carol A. (Scott) Hobson and Michele T. Wilhelm, both of Fort Wayne; sons, Gregory J. (Lynn) LeBlanc of Dubuque, Iowa, and Philip F. (Cathy) LeBlanc of Glen, N.H.; sister, Theresa Rohrer of Brandon, Fla.; brother, Larry LeBlanc of Venice, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and his dog, Kellie.

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Francis I. and Marie LeBlanc; and granddaughter, Brandie Joan Wilhelm.
