FARMINGTON — Senior center halfback Marina West converted a 25-yard slow roller into the back of the net in the second overtime as Mt. Blue captured a 3-2 win over Hampden Academy in KVAC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

The Cougars (3-2) took 2-0 halftime lead behind goals from Mackenzie Conlogue and Emma Enoch.

The Broncos (2-3-1) bounced back with a pair of goals in the second half to even the contest at the end of regulation. Chelsea Kuzio and Ashley Danforth received credit for the two goals.

Goalie Makayla Clewley made eight saves for Hampden, while Gabby Foy turned away 11 shots to earn the win in net for Mt. Blue.

Leavitt 5, Mt. View 0

THORNDIKE — The Leavitt girls’ soccer squad erupted for five goals in the first half and easily hung on for a 5-0 victory over Mt. View in a KVAC matchup Tuesday afternoon.

Tori Zupancic and Mariah Treadwell each netted a pair of goals for the Hornets (4-2), while a single tally from Desiree Tweedie completed the scoring.

Kelly Pomerleau made five saves to record the shutout for Leavitt, while Amanda Larrabee turned back 10 shots between the posts for Mt. View.

Oxford Hills 2, Cony 0

AUGUSTA — The Oxford Hills girls’ soccer squad managed a goal in each half Tuesday, hustling to a 2-0 victory over Cony in a KVAC matchup.

Colleen Stauder converted a pass from Lauren Emery to make it 1-0 in the first frame. Danielle Allen folowed suit in the second half with an unassisted goal to complete the scoring.

Breanna Martin made an impressive 13 saves to notch the shutout, while Shayna Perkins turned back six shots for the Rams (3-4).

Wells 3, Poland 2

POLAND — Sophomore back Stephanie Woods nailed a direct hit from 20-yards out for the eventual game-winning goal as Wells secured a 3-2 victory over Poland in WMC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

The Warriors (1-5-1) made some key offensive adjustments in the second half, following a 1-0 deficit at intermission. Woods goal came at the 19:21 mark and put Wells up 3-1 at that point.

Sophomore forward Emily Bolduc recorded both of the Knight’s (1-6) goals, one in each stanza.

Goalie Haley Whitworth made eight saves for Poland, while goalie Kaitlyn Tufts foiled 10 shots to earn the win in net for Wells.

Oak Hill 5, Belfast 0

BELFAST — Darby Beaulieu scored two goals and goalie Desiree Johns kept the ball out of the net to lead Oak Hill to a 5-0 triumph over Belfast on Tuesday.

Beaulieu scored the lone goal of the first half when Jane Marston fed her the ball up the middle for the goal.

Also scoring for Oak Hill (2-3-1) were Marrissa Caskin, Gabby Green and Miranda Marquis.

Johns finished with three svaes, while Forrest Munson was credited with nine stops for the Lions.

Leavitt 5, Erskine 1

TURNER — Brianna DeGone led a group of five players to register goals Tuesday as Leavitt hustled to a 5-1 victory over Erskine in a KVAC field hockey matchup.

Adrianna Newton, Casey Fichter, Kayla Royer and Emily Shaw also tallied for the Hornets (5-2) to complete the scoring.

Allysa Curtis tallied the lone goal for Erskine. Taylor Eells and Sierra Santamango split time in net for Leavitt, needing only two saves to notch the shutout. Melody Gay turned aside 17 shots in the cage for Erskine.

Oxford Hills 2, Mt. Ararat 0

PARIS — Heather Verrier and Jesse Murch each netted a goal in the second frame Tuesday to propel Oxford Hills to a 2-0 victory over Mt. Ararat in a KVAC field hockey tilt.

Abi Egan and Shannon Fillebrown needed only three saves between them to record the shutout for Oxford Hills. Emma Brown and Raven Demaski split time in the cage for Mt. Ararat, with just one save made in the contest.

EL 1, Brunswick 0

BRUNSWICK — Jordan Tate punched in the game-winning goal 53 second into the second overtime and Edward Little shook off winless Brunswick (0-6-1) with a 1-0 victory.

Tate got some help on her winning goal. Courtney Pelletier broke the ball lose, passed it to Hannah Johnston who tapped it to Tate for the goal. Pelletier and Johnston both earned assists on the play.

The teams battled through an entire scoreless game before taking into overtime. The Red Eddies (3-2-1) outshot the Dragons, 12-8 and held the advantage in corners at 8-3.

EL goalie Amanda Williams made six saves.
