LEWISTON — Robert L. Bedard of Oxford, lost his battle to a terminal illness on Friday, Sept. 19, with his loving and supporting wife, Deborah by his side, along with his family.
He was a native of Lewiston and attended Bliss College. He was an exceptional finish carpenter and owned his own woodworking business.
He was an avid NASCAR fan, and had a passion for music. In his younger years, he had a rock and roll band, where he was the bass guitarist. He loved his dogs, and spending time at home.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Smith Bedard of Oxford; his immediate family of Lewiston, his mother, Helen Bedard, his sisters, Jeannie and husband, Donald Holt and Constance Giles, sister-in-law, Sally Smith, family friend, Danielle Ramirez of Florida, his aunts, Theresa Pelletier, Carmen Foreman of Lewiston and Lou Thibault Maillet of New York; his daughter, Tiffany Cozzolino; grandchildren, Anna, Sofia and Marco; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert; and son, Benjamin.
The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Brian Nolan, the staff of Stephens Memorial Hospital, and the staff of St Mary’s d’Youville Pavillion.
