The 4-H beef program will hold its annual auction sale at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, in the sheep barn, with the proceeds for each sale used by the 4-H club member to cover the cost of raising an animal, buying a new one, or using it for college expenses. It is open to the public.

He said he has raised the animal since she was weaned and works with her twice a week on his grandparents’ farm, Moon Shadow Farm in Starks, owned by Scott and Chris Adams. The Adams’ maintain a herd of 40 registered belted Galloways.
