FARMINGTON — A local man was charged with drunken driving after falling from his motorized bicycle in a parking lot Friday morning, police said.
Nelson Fenoff, 56, of Farmington was pedaling the bike to start the motor in the parking lot behind Gifford’s Ice Cream on the Intervale at about 8:45 a.m. when he tipped the bike and fell.
Fenoff received a summons to appear in court on charges of driving under the influence and driving after suspension, Farmington police officer Ted Neil said.
The motorized bike is considered a motor vehicle and he was operating on a public way, Neil said. Police and ambulance personnel noticed that he had apparently been drinking. Blood alcohol tests are being checked, he said.
Fenoff was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar ambulance.
