AUBURN — Millie Belskis, 90, of Rumford died Thursday, Sept. 22, in Auburn, with her family by her side.

She was born in Riley, Aug. 27, 1921, a daughter of the late Bernardino and Alice (Angelo) Cornelio. She attended schools in Riley. For many years, she was well-known for her house cleaning business and for more than eight years, she worked in the housekeeping and laundry department of the Dixfield Health Care Center in Dixfield until her retirement in 1988.

Millie was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius–St. John Church and was also a member of the Greater Rumford Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed being with her family and enjoyed driving her car to Dick’s Restaurant to have lunch and coffee with her friends.

She was married in Riley, Nov. 12, 1942 to Adam Belskis, who died Sept. 9, 1976.

She is survived by her five children, Ruth Couture and husband, Gerry, of Lisbon, Tony Belskis and his wife, Jenifer, of Florida, Michael Belskis of Auburn, Peter Belskis and his wife, Nannette, of Ashland and Billy Belskis and wife, Dianne, of Westbrook; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Labbe of Farmington, Louise Oakes and her husband, Donald, of Wilton, Angie Lowe and her husband, Donald, of Farmington and Gloria Tardiff and her husband, Richard, of Jay; brothers, Peter Cornelio and his companion, Shirley, of Jay, James Cornelio and his wife, Paula, of Brunswick, John Cornelio and his wife, Arlene, of Jay and Thomas Cornelio and his companion, Linda Stanhope, of Jay.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Adam; a sister, Mary Belskis; and a brother, Louis Cornelio.
