LAS CRUCES, N.M. — David Allen Guedry, 43, died on Aug. 14 after a six-year fight with cardiac disease. He passed away peacefully with his adoring wife, 12-year companion, Mr. Man, and Kira at his side.

He was born on Feb. 13, 1968, in New Orleans, La. He moved to Maine in 1987 and graduated from Lisbon High School after being educated in military school in Madrid, Spain.

Dave was a self-made man who was known for being a hard worker. He was a long time employee of Coca–Cola as well as Lily Transportation as an OTR truck driver. Dave was also known to have had many independent business ventures throughout his life.

He retired to Las Cruces, N.M., with his family in 2008, where he was able to live happily without having to shovel snow, as well as being able to pursue a lifelong hobby of restoring enduro motorcycles and wheeling and dealing. He loved to work with his hands and enjoyed carpentry projects, landscaping and helping all of his dear friends.

Dave had an intense personality with a great sense of humor which made him an exemplary story teller. His smile would light up a room and has warmed many hearts as he made his path through life. A self-declared bachelor, he married his best friend Tammy L. (Harris) Guedry on Sept. 30, 2009. He spent the last year and a half of his life with his wife at his side. He died a whole man with the ability to love and be loved unconditionally.

He is survived by his wife, Mr. Man, and Kira; as well as all of his cherished friends.
