The Community Baptist Church, Main Street, Sabattus, will host a free, fall family festival for the community and surrounding areas from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. Rain date will be Saturday, Oct. 8. All games and activities are free and open to everyone. There will be a bounce house and slide, face painting, apple smashing and a variety of games, including a life-sized version of Angry Birds. A hay maze, games and play area for preschool age children will also be available. Teens are invited to try their hand at several activities geared toward them. A cookout will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. offering free grilled or steamed hot dogs, chips and soda. There will be a bake table with sweet treats available to purchase. All proceeds will be used toward the church’s growing teen ministry. For more information, call 375-4337.
