AUBURN — Kory Norcross netted a pair of goals Tuesday to lead Edward Little to an 8-0 romp over Skowhegan in another KVAC girl’s matchup.
Melissa Paione, Emily Hartnett, Allarie Lever, Michaela Norcross, Jackie Masters and MaryKate Masters also tallied for the Red Eddies (1-5-2) to help record their first win of 2011.
Veteran keeper Taylor Landry made five saves to preserve the shutout. Andrea Quirrion turned aside 13 shots for Skowhegan.
Hampden Academy 4, Lewiston 2
LEWISTON — Chelsea Kuzio scored a pair of goals, including the eventual game-winner, as Hampden Academy overtook Lewiston 4-2 in KVAC soccer action Tuesday.
Maegan Mathon registered two goals for Lewiston in the first half, giving the Blue Devils (3-5) a thin 2-1 lead at halftime. Anna Michaud contributed on both of Mathon’s goals.
Buckfield 2, Rangeley 1
RANGELEY — Freshman forward Nadia Wesley tabulated two goals to lift Buckfield to a 2-1 triumph over Rangeley in EWC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Allanah Knox provided a cross to Wesley with just 37 seconds remaining in the half to put the Bucks (2-6-1) up 2-1 at the midpoint.
Sandra Campbell scored for the Lakers (2-4-1).
Oxford Hills 0, Waterville 0
WATERVILLE — Despite taking a dozen shots at the net, heads-up goaltending on both sides of the field led to a 0-0 deadlock between Oxford Hills and Waterville in KVAC girl’s soccer action Tuesday.
Abby Webster booted five of Waterville’s (6-1-1) eight shots, yet a strong effort from Vikings (4-2-3) keeper Bre Martin held the Panthers scoreless.
Midfielder Kiersten Zufelt and Michaela Morin also played well for Oxford Hills. Hannah Allen turned aside four shots for Waterville.
Oak Hill 5, Mount View 0
WALES — Darby Bealieu registered a hat trick Tuesday as Oak Hill pounced on Mount View 5-0 in another KVAC girl’s soccer tilt.
Alyssa Rouleau and Julie Morneault also tallied for the Raiders (3-3-2) to complete the scoring. Desiree Johns and Kelsey Morneault split time in net for Oak Hill, combining for two saves in the contest.
Amanda Larrabee turned back 14 shots in the cage for Mount View.

Messalonskee 7, Oxford Hills 0
OAKLAND — Sisters Katie and Kristy Bernatchee combined for five goals to lead Messalonskee to a 7-0 rout over Oxford Hills in KVAC field hockey action Tuesday.
Katie registered a hat trick, while Kristy scored twice. Emily York chipped in with a pair of goals for the Eagles, while a single tally by Lynnae Luettich completed the scoring.
Lexy Cole stood as still as a stutue in net for Messalonskee, needing no saves to notch the shutout. Abi Egan and Shannon Fillebron split time once again in goal for the Vikings, with 17 saves between them.
Leavitt 3, MCI 0
PITTSFIELD — Brianna DeGone led a trio of players to register goals Tuesday as Leavitt hustled to a 3-0 victory over MCI in more KVAC field hockey action.
Cheryl Fichter and Adriann Newton also tallied for the Hornets (6-3) to complete the scoring.
Taylor Eells needed only two saves to notch the shutout, while Sarah Bennett turned back an impressive 16 shots in the cage for MCI (4-5-1).
Skowhegan 8, Edward Little 0
SKOWHEGAN — Nicole Sevey, Jessica Skillings and Sarah Finnemore scored two goals apiece and Skowhegan’s defense held Edward Little without a shot in an 8-0 shutout in KVAC field hockey action Tuesday.
Makaela Michonski and Allison Lancaster had a goal apiece for the Indians (10-0), who outshot EL, 29-0. Amanda Williams made 18 saves for the Red Eddies (4-3-1).
