ANDOVER, Mass. — Hattie S. Greenwood, 96, of Salem, N.H., died Sept. 24.

She was born in Westport, N.Y., to Arthur and Daisy (James) Taylor. Hattie was married to Francis L. Greenwood in 1937. In 1987, Francis and Hattie moved to Wilton. Francis died in 1996 and Hattie remained in Maine until 2003, when she moved to Salem, N.H., to live with her granddaughter, Paige Abbott. Hattie was active in the Grange and historical society throughout her life.

Hattie is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Todd of Lynchburg, Va.; a granddaughter, Paige Abbott of Salem, N.H.; a niece, Edith Clark of Manilus, N.Y.; and a nephew, Ronald Duprey of Saranac, N.Y.
