LIVERMORE FALLS — The New England Lung Cancer Project will host the first “E-Race the Stigma” walk and 5K on Nov. 5 at the Recreation Field located on the Foundry Road. The run starts at 10 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:30. Anyone interested in participating should register online at www.nelcp.org. Registration forms are also available at Food City and Hannaford in Livermore Falls.
This is an opportunity to support the lung cancer community.
Participants are encouraged to create teams. There is a $25 registration fee per person, which includes a free event T-shirt. Participants are asked to raise a minimum amount of $100 but it is not a requirement.
All proceeds for the event will stay in New England to help neighbors and local hospitals. Money raised by NELCP will go to medical research, education and social and financial resources for lung cancer patients and their families.
