LEWISTON — Raymond E. Wood, 65, of Lisbon Road, Sabattus, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston, March 8, 1946, the son of Raymond F. and Geraldine (Dyer) Wood. He was a graduate of Sabattus High School and later served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
On March 20, 1970, Ray married Janet M. Scott.
Following his service to his country, he went to work for Bell Manufacturing as a shipper, where he worked for more than 30 years.
Ray loved being and playing with his grandchildren and will be sadly missed by them.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of 41years, of Sabattus; his daughter, Debra Craig of Winslow; his sons, Scott Wood and wife, April, of Oakland and Kenneth Wood and wife, Tina, of Lewiston; his grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole and Andrew Craig and Cole, Noah and Kendra Wood; his sisters, Evelyn Bubier and husband, Kenneth, of Greene and Linda Potter and husband, Don, of Morrill.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Thomas Wood.
