WALES — Blaine H. McDonald, 67, a resident of Centre Road, Wales, died Monday, Oct. 3, at his home.
He was born in Litchfield, Feb. 20, 1944, the son of George and Beatrice Polley McDonald. Blaine attended schools in Litchfield. He married Sheila Chick of Monmouth on July 27, 1963, in Monmouth.
Blaine was owner/operator of his own dairy farm in Wales, he also worked at Chick’s dairy farm in Monmouth, he raised rabbits for restaurants and he also raised beagles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved his dogs, in the last few years he has enjoyed cutting firewood to sell.
Blaine also enjoyed going to the Portland Sea Dog games with his wife, also loved going to his hunting camp up north, but the best thing was going to see his grandchildren play sports. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Wales; two daughters, Tammy Burns and her husband, Mark, of Wales and Lynn Pomerleau and her husband, Marcel, of Wales; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Thomas, Ronnie and Dalton Burns and Brandon and Mariah Pomerleau; four brothers, David McDonald and his wife of Poland, Kenneth McDonald of Florida, Lawrence McDonald and his wife, Louella, of Wales and Winfield McDonald and his wife, Pauline, of Lewiston; four sisters, Pearl Moody of Lewiston, Joan Huff of Winthrop, Pauline Spofford of Florida, and Mattie Polley; special little “daughters,” who he and Sheila cared for, Emily and Allysa St. Pierre; his father-in-law, Edward Chick of Monmouth; and his mother-in-law, Rachel Chick of Auburn.
He was predeceased by his parents.
