AUBURN — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church Monday for Peter Mador Sr. Father Robert Lupo officiated and recited committal prayers at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Deacon Denis Mailhot assisted at the Mass. The readings and prayer of the faithful were proclaimed by Leonard Sharon and Donna Harris. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Chief Roger Beaupre and Deputy Chief Bruce Audie of the Biddeford Police Department. Officer’s prayer of St. Michael was read by Officer Wm. Monahan of the New York City Police Department. Pallbearers were all members of the Auburn Police Department, Lt. Rick Coron, Sgt. Barry Schmieks, Sgt. Ben Quinnell, Sgt. Steve Gosselin Ofc. Matt Elie and Atty. Leonard Sharon. At the conclusion of the Mass, bagpiper, Cpl. Nathan Westleigh played “Amazing Grace” and military honors were conducted by the Maine Funeral Honors Program. A reception followed at American Legion Post 153 New Auburn. A service of The Fortin Group Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Services.
