HARPSWELL — Radcliffe G. Earle, 68, of Harpswell and Naples, Fla., died Sept. 30.
He was born in Lisbon Falls, Aug. 21, 1943, the son of Willard and Mary Earle. Rad attended Edward Little High School in Auburn and continued his education at Wentworth in Boston, followed by the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he obtained his degree in architecture.
For 25 years, Rad was a well-respected architect in Lewiston-Auburn. Rad was a certified scuba diver, as well as a private pilot, flying Cessna planes. He tended his 50 lobster traps for 40 years and also enjoyed a variety of boats over the years. He was a member of AIA and Kora Temple.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Linda Earle; and his cousins, James Rosenfelder of Findlay, Ohio, and Carol Ann Tschishart of Dunwoody, Ga.
Rad was predeceased by a brother, John Earle of Auburn.
