TURNER — Charles E. Hebert Sr., 40, a resident of North River Road in Greene, died Monday, Oct. 3, at his in-laws home in Turner. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born March 21, 1971, in Lewiston, the son of Edmond Hebert and Sharon (Norton) Williams. Charles attended school in Livermore Falls. He continued his education earning his certification as a diesel mechanic. He was employed by the Greene Public works department.

He married Amanda Gagne on Sept. 1, 1997, in Greene. He enjoyed spending time with his family, also fishing and truck driving.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Hebert of Greene; his children, Charles Hebert Jr. of Greene, Ashley Hebert of Waterville and Brooke Hebert of Greene; his mother, Sharon Williams and her husband, Roger Williams, of Livermore; his grandmother, Dorothy Norton of Livermore; two sisters, Christina Labbe and husband, Chris and Cynthia Brown, all of Rock Hill, S.C.; his father and mother-in-law, Ross Gagne and his wife, Brenda, of Turner; his grandmother-in-law, Laurel Gagne of Turner; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Sewell Norton; and grandfather-in-law, Laurence Gagne.
