If Kevin Roche from ecomaine is correct in his letter (Sept. 28), then I don’t see why the city of Auburn won’t go to single-stream recycling. It was tried for a few weeks and it seemed to be a more efficient way of collecting.

Recycling is not difficult to start with, and single-stream recycling would simplify it even more, encouraging more people to participate.

And if more than No. 2 plastic were accepted, I wouldn’t have to bag all my other plastics and take them to a relative or friend in Lewiston. They win and we lose with the present system in Auburn.
