LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay Livermore Falls Seniors met at Murray Hall on Oct. 3 with 25 members and one guest, Peggy Jacques, present.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture presided over the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for the departed members and for all the men and women serving in the armed forces here and abroad.

Janet Wright and Muriel Labbe were received as new members.

Marie Gagnon was welcomed back. It was reported that Jeannette Buck is now at Clover Manor in Auburn. Irene Hebert is at home but not doing well. Shirley said Normand and Pauline Duguay send their regards to the group.

The First Baptist Church of Livermore Falls has invited the group to attend their bicentennial celebration at 7 p.m. Nov. 19. Music, entertainment and reminiscing will be presented, followed by refreshments.

The 50/50 was won by Marie Gagnon. Door prizes donated by Marilyn DeSoto were won by Lorette Chabot and Patty Laverdiere. A Chinese auction will be held next week; food and other items are requested as donations.

Following the meeting Beano was enjoyed as well as other games and cards. Donna Cook and Carole Redman made and served refreshments. Next week Marilyn DeSoto and Geraldine Richards will supply the refreshments.

Anyone 55 or over living in the area is invited to join the group at 1 p.m. on Mondays at Murray Hall.
