DIXFIELD — The Dirigo Middle School eighth-grade class is hoping to raise money by hosting a scrapbooking event on Nov. 6 and giving an incentive for people to register before Oct. 15.

The event will be held at the Dirigo Middle School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.

The fundraiser will be for the annual eighth-grade class trip. The class needs to raise funds before it can start planning.

People interested in scrapbooking will have tables available to them. My Crop Paper Scissors Store of Farmington will have items for sale. Students will be on hand to help carry equipment and to serve a soup-and-sandwich lunch.

Anyone who registers will be given a gift and people who register before Oct. 15 will be given something extra along with the registration prize.

Chairperson for the event, Rachel Buck, said students also plan to have door prizes, hourly giveaways and a Chinese auction.
