AUBURN — Carmen R. Cailler, 83, of Lewiston, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Clover Manor Health Care Facility, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 27, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Yvonne (Blais) Dallaire and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She married Robert M. Cailler on July 4, 1950; he died on March 11, 2010. She was a member of St. Mary’s and the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and Holy Name Society of St. Peter’s.
Carmen was employed in the dietary department at CMMC for many years. Carmen was first and foremost a woman who lived her faith and demonstrated uncommon courage faced with numerous medical setbacks during the last summer of her life.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Cailler and his wife, Bridget, of Litchfield and Richard Cailler and his wife, Lisa, of Poland; three beloved grandchildren, Troy, Ethan and Taylor Cailler; and two sisters, Yvonne Carville and brother-in-law, Wallace and Lorraine Gervais.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Armand, Onil and Robert Dallaire; and her sisters, Yvette Bissonette, Grace Gauthier and Terry Morin.
Heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated medical and spiritual staff at Clover Manor for their compassion and dignified care of our Mom during her last four months of life, with a special thank-you to Aunt Sheila.
